  19. Will I be charged excess baggage at Sharm airport? Answer: Yes, if you think you might have exceeded your luggage allowance, try to estimate how much extra weight you might have from when you arrived before you get to check in. There have been reports of being overcharged. Agree on the charges before your luggage is checked in - you won't be able to argue your case once it's gone.

Answer:  Tipping is usually 10% in restaurants (to show your appreciation if you've had good service, even if service charge is included on the bill ), porters Le5 per bag, housekeeping Le5 per day, minimum Le1 for any other service, e.g. pool boy assistance.  If you feel the service you've received has been really good then give what you feel is appropriate.
  22. Do we have to barter for everything? Answer:  No not everything, there are some fixed priced shops, if this is the case usually the items will have the prices on them.  No harm in trying your luck anyway if you feel the item is overpriced.

  37. What currency should I bring with me? Answer: Bring sterling or dollars or a mixture of both, plus just a small amount of Egyptian currency for tipping 
  38. Should I exchange money in the UK or wait until I arrive? Answer: You will get a much better exchange rate over here
  39. Where can I change my money? Answer: At any bank or inside the hotel. Most shops and restaurants accept foreign currency.
  40. Can I use my cash card at an ATM machine? Answer: Yes, however it is advisable to use your card during banking hours, just in case there are any problems with your card or the machine.
